College of Letters and Sciences

With the growing need for experts in these fields, the College of Letters and Sciences grows every year with new students, new faculty, and new programs.

How to Apply

Current CSU students with a 3.4+ GPA are invited to join CPSP throughout the year. Incoming CSU freshmen can apply to join CPSP; completed applications will be reviewed for CPSP scholarship consideration as well. Please refer to the following CPSP Application checklist:

  • Acceptance to CSU (refer to CSU Admissions for instructions)
  • Complete scholarship application (available in September)
  • For incoming freshmen: High school transcripts (submit to CSU Admissions)
  • One recommendation form (PDF) submitted directly by each recommender (preferably a high school science teacher/instructor and a school counselor or another teacher/instructor). Please send the CPSP Letter of Reference form link to each recommender.

The application deadline is February 15 of the year you will matriculate into Columbus State University. All required materials must be received no later than the deadline for consideration. Applicants must be accepted to Columbus State University prior to CPSP acceptance. Applicants will receive an email confirmation once their completed CPSP application is received. Any application received after the deadline will not be considered. Meeting eligibility standards does not guarantee acceptance into the Competitive Premedical Studies Program.
